Did You Know This is Hydro One Fiberpool® Too?

Yes! This swimming pool is constructed out of fibreglass.

It’s hard for anyone to tell from a first glance that this beautiful free-form swimming pool is constructed through the Hydro One Fiberpool® pool technique of VERSACAST instead of using conventional reinforced concrete. All design preferences were fulfilled without compromise, including finishing the swimming pool with chosen pool mosaic tiles.

Pre-fabricated & knocked-down pool structure

The swimming pool structure is carefully planned, designed, and segmented following the Hydro One Fiberpool® technique. It borrows the most efficient approach where pre-fabrication was done off-site and made into a modular panel form. Delivery, off-loading & positioning on site for assembly has been easy, thanks to the lightweight & durable fiberglass material as well as the pre-planned segmentation process at the start.

On-site assembling with leak-free quality

The swimming pool structure in fiberglass panel form is then assembled on site according to a standard technical plan. All joints & connections are securely fused using a fiberglass lamination technique. The entire swimming pool will take shape as a one-piece and well-integrated structure in just days – with a much shorter on-site lead time and well-controlled construction flow.

The Hydro One Fiberpool® in a custom design through VERSACAST construction technique is completed and finished with 50x50mm seed size pool mosaic tiles. Its dimension & curvature is close to perfect with minimum tolerance, thanks to the pre-planned technical approach and pre-fabricated construction technique.

One-Piece

The initial form of Hydro One Fiberpool® when first developed & launched was pre-fabricated as a one-piece structure without any joints or on-site assembly required. After being removed from a standard production mould, the fiberglass swimming pool is finished with glittering gel-coating as a substitute for using conventional pool mosaic tiles.


It is currently available in 10 standard design models and is renowned for its “Done In 7 Days” on-site completion guarantee. Custom-made models are available upon request too, with a limitation of a maximum size of 12m length x 4m width – due to constraints during on-road transportation.

Custom Swimming Pool

With our custom swimming pool solution, Hydro One Fiberpool® is re-engineered to be versatile in any size, shape & design with no limitation. Constructed with the technique namely FUSIONS and VERSACAST, it uses pre-fabricated structures in a lightweight and durable modular panel form. These panels are also reinforced further with carefully designed column grid support to achieve optimized structural strength.


Transported in knocked-down form, it’s easy to assemble the swimming pool on site into a well-integrated one-piece structure using a fiberglass lamination technique. This reduces the usage of concrete by more than 50%. Custom swimming pools are usually finished with pool mosaic tiles.

The joint areas on the knocked-down fiberglass structure will be fused together by our skilled fiberglass technician on site. Our Past Projects

Full Size Olympic Pool at UEM Estuari Sports Centre, JB.

We constructed a 10 lane full-sized Olympic competition swimming pool as a sports facility for a residential clubhouse located at Puteri Harbour, Nusajaya Johor Bahru. The swimming pool features a four-side overflow channel with dimensions of 50m length x 25 m width x 1.3m depth.


The key challenge was to minimise the construction lead time on site due to the occupied high-end residential area nearby. As a turnkey specialist, our scope was to design & include the construction works for the M&E pump room and balancing tank structural works.


We applied the Hydro One Fiberpool® VERSACAST technique with a pre-fabricated fiberglass wall structure cast into the reinforced concrete floor slab on site. Eventually, we reduced the usage of concrete by up to 40%, brought down the construction lead time on site up to 40%, and fulfilled the budget allocation by the client for the project with a well-managed workflow.

Rooftop Infinity Pool at Ranthari Hotel & Spa, Maldives

A rooftop Infinity Pool as a guest facility for Ranthari Hotel & Spa, located at Ukulhas Island at Alif-Alif Atoll, Maldives. The resort was close to completion with construction and the swimming pool facility was designed and initiated at a later stage as an above roof slab Infinity Pool. Its dimension was 10 m Length x 4.5 m Width x 1.2m Depth (Internal Dimension) and was to be finished with 100x100mm pool tiles.


Our client preferred the swimming pool structure to be lightweight, durable, easy to maintain, and

leak-proof in the long term, especially when this facility is required to be located on an RC (reinforced concrete) roof slab.


We applied the Hydro One Fiberpool® FUSIONS Technique where the wall & floor were made by pre-fabricated knock-down fiberglass structure and assembled on site. Undertaking the design & turnkey build contract with site supervision in the Maldives, we managed to reduce the usage of concrete up to 95%! On-site construction lead time and leakage risk were reduced substantially. Because the swimming pool structure was made of fiberglass material, it has anti-corrosion properties and therefore is suitable for the seaside environment.


Thanks to the knocked-down design, the pool structure is also friendly for shipment with cargo containers, where access to the island was limited. Our solution was also helpful in reducing the structural support cost & sizing of the building’s beam due to the much lighter loading weight from our Hydro One Fiberpool®.
